Can eSupport work if I have a firewall?

YES.  eSupport will work even if you have a firewall installed in your home PC or network - but you may need to grant permission. When you are logging onto eSupport you may see one of the screens below, please 'accept' or 'allow' or 'permit' eSupport access to your computer.  eSupport is completely safe.

1.  Allow the chat link download.  In the screen below, you will be asked whether or not you want to allow the execution of the eSupport 'chatlink' software on your PC.  This is a secure, fully tested application that is required for you to communicate directly with the technician.  You want to click 'Yes' below.

 

2.  Unblock your firewall.  In the screen below, your PC security or firewall software may try to block eSupport.  This is a secure, fully tested application that is required for you to communicate directly with the technician.  You want to click 'Permit' below.
