Why can't I see the PCCare system tray icon?

On Windows 9X and ME operating systems, the system tray icon may not appear all the time. The PCCare client will become dormant for periods of time that it has nothing to do. In these periods, the system tray icon will not be displayed.

If the system tray icon never appears, please check that the PCCare program is running by clicking the desktop icon. If the application does not launch, please use the help escalation pages to contact the Digiticians.

As with the desktop icon, the user performing the installation was prompted to include the system tray icon. the default (and recommended) setting is to install the system tray icon. It is possible that they simply chose not to add this icon to the system tray.
