PCCare Premium[TM]

When is the best time to schedule automated tasks?

PCCare's automated task default schedule is pre-configured to run upon successful installation of PCCare, so that the application is "set-it-and-forget-it" as much as possible. It is recommended that you keep these settings unless they would interfere with your normal use of the PC, or are not convenient to you. If you do choose to change the automated task default schedule, we recommend you select 'quiet' times or times when you are not using your PC but the PC is turned on. For example late at night or early in the morning are usually the best times to run automated tasks.

Tasks that require internet access (such as synchronize the system clock and Update anti-virus definitions) should be scheduled at times when the PC can be on and access to the internet is available. Again, late at night or early in the morning are often good times to schedule such tasks.

Tasks the require access to the hard drive (such as Scan Disk/ CHKDSK or Defragment hard drive) require that no application be writing to the disk during their execution. Please choose a time when nothing else is running but your PC may be left on.
