The defragment Hard Drive utility for Windows NT and Windows 2000 is different than that used on Windows 9x/ME and that used on Windows XP. It is designed to run only under manual, interactive control, or under the MS-Console. PCCare can only execute this program in the interactive mode.
Whenever you schedule this task, the next time you come to your PC, you will see the defragment hard drive utility. You will need to choose the next step yourself.
The easiest thing to do is to click on the lower control [defragment local hard drives], you will be able to watch the defragmentation process execute. Please note that this may take several minutes and that you should not use the system while it is running.
This will only occur on systems running windows NT or 2000. If you can, set this to execute first thing in the morning when you turn your PC on and go get a cup of coffee. PCCare has automatically launched the task, unfortunately, the task requires manual assistance to complete.
